Youth Pastor

I am JD Kingery and the youth pastor here at Adventure- Life Church.  I started on September 1, 2008 and have already seen the amazing things God is doing here in this church and community.   

I am involved in all facets of the youth group and desire to be a part of all that time will allow me here at Adventure- Life.  I believe that every student not only needs to hear the words that Christ says to us through his word but they need to see it lived out in the believers that surround them.  I am passionate about loving the students and building relationships of love that can support the weight of the truth.

I was married to a beautiful creation of our Lord on May 8^th, 2009.  My wife, Amy, is the jewel in my crown. I love her with all of my heart and has not only been a huge support of me but has been a large part of the youth ministry that happens in the church.  She is my beloved and a prayer warrior.  My life would not be the same without her and God is continually encouraging me through her.  God is good in her and through her.

My passion for youth ministry is evident in all that I do.  I love hanging out with teens.  Keeping up with the culture, technology, and music is one of my favorite things to do.  I enjoy Frisbee golf, an occasional volleyball game, and watching hometown football teams crush their competitions.  I am very passionate about music and love to sing and do drama.

State Where You Were Born:  I was born in Mountain Home, Idaho, on the air force base where my dad worked on the braking systems on the F-14 Tomcats.

Favorite Food:  I love Chinese and Mongolian Grills.

Favorite Restaurant:  The Wo Hop in China Town, New York, New York.  I also love Kahn’s Mongolian Restaurant in Minneapolis, MN and Hu-Hot.

Favorite Music:  I like all music from Country to Rap to Metal.  I love Chris Tomlin, Dustin Kensrue, Remedy Drive, Zao, Ryan Adams, Third Day, James Taylor, Neil Young, and sooo much more.

Favorite Bible Verse:  Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the 
gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

What Do You Like Best About Adventure- Life Church? I love the authenticity of the believers here.  You can tell people have a lot invested in their passion for Jesus Christ.
