Vacation Bible School

Dates for 2011 are Sunday, July 17 - Thursday, July 21, 6:15 - 8:30 p.m.

Our VBS theme this summer is "SonSurf Beach Bash" from Gospel Light Publishing. 
It is described by Gospel Light as "an unforgettable beach blast where kids will 
come to know the living Jesus who said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life; no
one comes to the Father except through me.' (John 14:6)"  Each day the children
encounter Jesus as they:

• Meet Up with Jesus by hearing about His birth and actions in the Temple 
  as a twelve-year old.  They will be challenged to get to know Jesus in a
  deeper way.

• Look Up to Jesus as they hear how an official trusted Jesus to help him. 
  They will realize that Jesus is the One they can turn to in any situation.

• Join Up with Jesus as they hear about His death and resurrection.  They 
  will understand why they need Jesus and that His loving actions are all 
  that's required for them to be part of God's family.

• Open Up to Jesus' forgiveness as they hear the story of the Prodigal Son. 
  They will discover that when they've done wrong, Jesus doesn't stop loving
  them, but forgives them and helps them get back on track.

• Fire Up for Jesus as they listen to the story of Jesus' last encounter with 
  His disciples.  Kids will be ready to show by their own actions and words 
  how much they love Jesus and want to follow Him.

Add to this energetic worship times with music, crafts to take home, snacks to 
enjoy, games to play, and a service project for the Caring Hands Food Pantry 
and you have the making of a great VBS week.

Pre-registrations will be held at Adventure-Life on May 22 and Jun 19 after each
worship service or you may print the registration form and mail it to:

Children who are age 3 up to going into 6th grade may attend.  There is no fee 
for our VBS; however, donations are always accepted.  Questions may be
