Genesis 3
Satan’s Tactics
1.
He twists
the truth
“Did God really say, ‘You
must not eat from any tree
in the garden?’”
Genesis 3:1
2.
He makes God look more
severe than He is.
3.
He isolates
us.
4.
He wants us to fixate
on sin.
“And when the woman saw that
the tree was good
for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and
a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of
the fruit thereof, and did eat…”
Genesis 3:6
5.
He draws
others into our sin.
The
Consequences of Sin
1.
The
Imago Dei is marred.
2.
Shame
3.
Alienation
4.
Fear
“I heard you and I was afraid, and I hid.”
Genesis 3:10
5.
Blame
6.
Pain
The
human condition after sin entered in is
“depravity”.
