Our Father in Heaven – Connection
Matthew 6:9

 
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by 
prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests 
to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all
understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in 
Christ Jesus.”                                            Philippians 4:6
 

4 Truths about God as Our Father

1.  He is a caring Father.  

“Cast all of your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 
                                                                           1 Peter 5:7  

“So don’t worry saying, ‘What are we going to eat?  What are 
we going to wear?’  Your heavenly Father knows you need 
these things.”                                                    Matthew 6:31-32
 

2.  He is a consistent Father.  

“Every good and perfect gift is from the Father who does not
change like shifting shadows.”                         James 1:17  

God is always changing.  

“Even if we are faithless He remains faithful for He cannot
disown Himself.”                                              2 Timothy 2:13  

“I, the Lord, do not change.”                           Malachi 3:6  

“God will never go back on His promises.”    Romans 11:29  

“My God is changeless in His love for me.”    Psalm 59:10
   

3.  He is a  close Father.  

“The Lord is near to all who call on Him.”     Psalm 145:18
 

4.  He is a  competent Father.  

“Nothing is impossible with God.”                   Luke 1:37  

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all 
we ask or imagine.”                                          Ephesians 3:20
