"Living Forward"
Psalm 71:18 & 19 

 

We have a responsibility to pass on our relationship with 
Jesus Christ.  

1.     It’s up to the older generation to figure out how to hand 
on the faith to the younger generation.  

God is saying you'll be the ones who will tell them.  

Heidelberg Catechism:
Q:  What is your only comfort in life and in death?
A:  That I am not my own, that I belong body and soul, 
in life and in death to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ.  

How committed are we to passing on the faith to those 
who come after us?
 

2.  Living Godly lives is not getting easier for the next
     generation.  

“One generation will commend your works to another; 
     they will tell of your mighty acts.  They will speak of the
     glorious splendor of your majesty.”            Psalm 145:4-5
 

3.  The future begins with prayer.                       

      You cannot outsource the spiritual life of your children.
