Forgive Us As We Forgive – Forgiveness
Ephesians 4:32

Three Ways God Forgives  

1.  God forgives me instantly.   

 “Let the wicked leave their way of life and change their way 
of thinking.  Let them turn to the Lord our God.  He is merciful
 and quick to forgive.”                                  Isaiah 55:7  

“If we confess our sins to God, he can always be trusted to
forgive us and take our sins away.”             1 John 1:9
 

2.  God forgives me repeatedly.

“Lord how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins
against me?  Up to seven times?”                Matthew 18:21
 

3.  God forgives me freely.   

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and 
are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that 
came by Christ Jesus.”                                 Romans 3:23-24  

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and 
this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, 
so that no one can boast.”                            Ephesians 2:8-9  

I have learned to forgive because God has forgiven me.  

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each 
other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”   Ephesians 4:32  

Who are you blaming for your unhappiness?  

“Blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy.”
                                                                       Matthew 5:7
