Lead Us Not Into Temptation – Protection

“be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it”  
Genesis 1:28  

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy.  My 
purpose is to give life in all its fullness.” 
John 10:10

Every temptation has a moment of choice.
 

“Lead us not into temptation”

1.  Temptation strikes us at our weakest point. 

2.  The law arouses sinful passions.

    “Our sinful passions were aroused by the law.”       
     Romans 7:5
 

“Deliver us from the evil one”

1.  Stand in the strength given  by God.

     Ephesians 6:10-18

           ·       The belt of truth
     ·       The breastplate of righteousness
     ·       Feet fitted with peace
     ·       The shield of faith
     ·       The helmet of salvation
     ·       The sword of the Word of God  

2.  Flee temptation   

     “Flee the evil desires of your youth.” 
      2 Timothy 2:22  

     Run to God!
