Christian Freedom
Galatians 5:1

Stand firm in your freedom!  

The Price of Slavery:  

1.  Distracts me from my purpose
                         “…let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so
     easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race
     marked out for us.”                                     Hebrews 12:1
 

2.  Damages my relationships
                            “Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who 
      mourn.  Live in harmony with one another.”  
                                                                    Romans 12:15-16  

 “Once you were not a people, but now you are the people 
  of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you 
  have received mercy.”                                    1 Peter 2:10
 

3.  It destroys my happiness
                            “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life 
      in Christ Jesus our Lord.”                              Romans 6:23

Benefits to Freedom:  

1.  The ability to run life’s race clearly and with purpose.  

2.  Freed us from the shame of sin.  
                      “You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your
     freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another 
     in love.”     Galatians 3:13  

3.  Freedom to be able to enjoy life.
